Self-Timer for the Flashback Camera

First of all - thank you, thank you, thank you for all the support. To see the number of people who believe in what we're doing has been overwhelming.
I'm incredibly grateful for the amount of support we have received so far, because it means I can continue to dedicate my time to this camera. More importantly, we can create more cool stuff! Without further ado:
How will self-timer work?
I'll add a section in the Flashback app to open the self-timer. It will let you choose a duration and have a button to start the timer. Once you press it, the countdown will start and your camera will trigger wirelessly to capture a picture when it's done! When using the self-timer, the flash will be enabled like normal using the switch on the camera.
We hope that the self-timer feature can be useful for selfies or group shots where you don't want to leave someone out to hold the camera! It just might bring back some the fun of setting the timer and running to get everyone in place (often, unsuccessfully)
We're also playing with the idea of having a "candid" mode that would set a random timer duration of a few minutes. This way, you could set the camera in a corner and nobody would know exactly when it's going to take a picture! I think this could be fun for you to experiment with.
When will it be available?
We don't want any extra features to delay the delivery of your camera, which is still on-track for August. So, we're going to add the self-timer feature after the launch. It will be available to all backers before Christmas this year, with no further costs.
It's possible that I'm ready to roll out self-timer before then, but I do note we have a lot of orders to fulfil in the meantime. I'd rather promise a later time and end up delivering it early! :)
P.S.
I've just made some more Flashback Deluxe Kits available - that's the camera, lanyard and case bundled at a reduced price. We didn't expect these to run out so fast, and we have had more backers than initially expected, so we've decided it is fair to make a few more available :)
